Dolly Parton Imagination Library Available to PVSD Children Ages 0-5

As we remember Dolly Parton and celebrate the remarkable life she lived, we’re reflecting on the impact of her vision right here at home—and the donors and partners who help us carry that vision forward.

Dolly Parton’s legacy extends far beyond her music. Through the Dolly Parton Imagination Library, she created a simple yet powerful way to help children develop a love of reading, one free book at a time.

In 2021, the Carbon County Community Foundation brought the program to our community through a partnership with St. Luke’s University Health Network – Carbon Campus and the Dollywood Foundation.

Today, more than 1,300 Carbon County children receive a free, age-appropriate book in the mail every month through Imagination Library Carbon County.  All children ages 0-5 in the Panther Valley School District are eligible to participate in this program.
